Explore the National Museum of Health and Medicine with us!

This hands-on experience offers a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of medical science, history, and human biology.

We will have two groups:

Human Body Experience (Grades preK-3rd): You and your students will explore the wonders of the human body, each of its systems, and the importance of how each system works. Your visit will consist of guided activities including holding plastinated anatomical specimens, followed by a self-guided tour of the museum's galleries.

Forensics Discovery Workshop (Grades 4th-5th): After a general museum tour, students will be introduced to the science of collecting information and evidence using tools that forensic specialists rely on—and how those tools help solve cases by putting evidence together.

Your Student Will Discover:
The amazing history of medical innovation—from Civil War surgery to modern neuroscience
Real human anatomy exhibits to deepen biology understanding
How forensic science and pathology help solve medical mysteries
The evolution of prosthetics and battlefield medicine
Critical thinking and observation skills through real medical artifacts

Why It’s Great for your students:
Connects directly with science and history curriculum
Encourages inquiry, curiosity, and hands-on learning
Sparks interest in health, anatomy, and STEM careers
