Washington Returns to Chelsea

This family-friendly celebration honors Chelsea’s vital role during the American Revolution and features a special appearance by George Washington reenactor John Koopman on horseback.

The event will take place at Washington Park, across from the Thomas Pratt Mansion, where General Washington reportedly stayed multiple times.

It builds on the City’s commemoration of the Battle of Chelsea Creek and continues a yearlong reflection on Chelsea’s legacy of resistance, refuge, and resilience.
