Perseid Meteor Shower Party

The Francis Malcolm Science Center will be hosting the second night of its first annual Perseid Meteor Shower Party on Friday, August 15. We will be parking in the science center's parking lot and walking up the hill behind the science center.
Information on how to photograph the meteor shower will be provided, so bring a camera and a sturdy tripod.
This is a BYOB (Bring your own blanket - NOT BOTTLE) event. You can also bring a chair if you wish.
As a side event, we will be broadcasting the Orson Welles Mercury Theatre version of "War of the Worlds." This show was so realistic in its time that people actually went out and shot water towers thinking they were invading space ships.
Due to the time of the year, we are suggesting that you also bring your own bug spray.
This event is weather permitting. We will post on the Francis Malcolm Science Center's FaceBook page if we will need to cancel.
