Please note, this is a women’s only event. Myself and Rachael (Sana-Te Counselling & Psychotherapy) will be collaborating for an incredibly unique event at St James’ Church, Crowden. The first church at this site was built in the 1400s. This version was built in the 1700s and has been lovingly restored with what is thought to be several original features. There are stunning views of the reservoir, and it is said you can see Mottram Church on a clear day. Jen will host a Breathwork workshop with gentle Restorative Yoga. Rachael will facilitate a Somatic Dance experience to reconnect, release and restore. This empowering somatic dancing session helps women reconnect with their bodies in a safe, supportive space. Together through guided movement, Breathwork, and embodied awareness, we’ll explore ways to release stored tension, cultivate self-trust, and awaken inner wisdom. No dance experience needed—just a willingness to move, feel, and be. ✨ Safe space✨ Trauma-informed guidance✨ Deep connection to self and body. Events at the Church provide donations to the trust which enable the ongoing renovations to take place as well as maintaining the Grade II listed building and grounds. We will meet at Crowden car park SK131HZ and walk 10 minutes through the woodland to the location. Please note, there are several steps to the front door of the church. We ask that you bring a yoga mat and advise that you wear comfortable clothing. The chapel does contain electric heaters, but we suggest bringing a blanket for comfort during savasana. As a precaution, it is not recommended that you take part in a breathwork sessions in the following circumstances: Cardiovascular disease (angina, previous heart attacks, or strokes) Detached retina Glaucoma Aneurysm in brain or abdomen Kidney disease Severe Asthma Epilepsy Any other medical, physical or psychiatric condition which would impair or affect the ability to involve in deep physical and emotional release. – (depends, communicate with your therapist) Hot and cold drinks and a light snack will be provided. Bookings are non-refundable.
