July Car Seat Check Event & Hot Car Temperature Display Campaign

We all want our children to travel safely in cars. Installing a car seat can be a challenge. Research shows that 3 out of 4 car seats are not installed correctly. A Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician can assist you.
When coming to the free car seat check, please bring:
• The vehicle your child will be riding in
• Your child safety seat
• Your child safety seat manual
• Your car owner’s manual
• Your child (if possible)
• Your child’s current height and weight (if possible)
• It takes approximately 30 minutes to get a car seat checked.

We will also have a Hot Car Temperature Display to raise awareness about the dangers of leaving children, the elderly, or pets unattended in vehicles, especially during warmer weather.
Our car seat checks are hosted by Safe Kids Northwest Piedmont is sponsored by Atrium Health Levine Children’s Brenner Children’s Hospital Level I Pediatric Trauma Center and possible thanks to the partnership of Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians and community organizations focused on the safety and wellbeing of children. Thanks to the Clemmons Fire Department for hosting this community event.
