Introduction to - The Beyond

This game takes place in a fictional world where a dimension, simply known as The Beyond, exists. Its creation was a mistake, and now all must pay that price. You are part of a secret organization whose name may change but whose mission remains constant. Your mission: stop The Beyond and protect humanity. Your character most likely wasn't always part of this organization - instead, you were drawn in, possibly due to a traumatic experience with a Beyond event or an unexplained phenomenon you witnessed. After enough time spent digging for answers, you found yourself standing at their doorstep. This isn't a job you go searching for; it finds you. Only those who have had these experiences can truly understand the work they do. You are one of those people, and today, you have just gained employment. The Beyond RPG is a horror game about true heroes. Regardless of your background or the challenges you face, you continue to defend humanity from threats it doesn't even know exist. This job will break you—mind, body, and spirit. Someday, it will likely K*ll you if you stick with it. But what other choice do you have? This game is about sacrifice. Most characters won't survive long, but their actions are critical. If they don't stand up, who will? The mood of this game should reflect this theme: you are a team of ordinary people facing an impossible threat.
