About each performer
Cafe Flutes: The Central Arizona Flute Ensemble (CAFE) is a seven-member traveling flute choir founded in 2014 to spread music throughout the Valley of the Sun. They enrich, enlighten, and inspire central Arizona residents by presenting interactive concerts and educational programs that showcase the diverse instruments in the flute family.
CAFE flutists introduce and showcase in their hour-long performance the full range of instruments, from the rare 10-foot-long contrabass flute to the small piccolo. Their extensive repertoire spans diverse musical styles, including show tunes, classical, folk melodies, jazz, patriotic anthems, seasonal favorites, and oldies. The musicians introduce each selection and engage in conversation with their audience during a Question-and-Answer segment. They pass around demonstration flutes and piccolos, allowing the listeners to experience the instruments firsthand.
Highway 74: Highway 74 has played in Prescott’s Whiskey Row, Yarnell, Wickenburg and Scottsdale venues. They are a regular attraction at the Vulture Peak Brewery in Wickenburg.
Bob began taking Steel Guitar lessons at the early age of 10, however unfortunately the lessons only lasted two years. After taking 40 years sabbatical, and a very successful career in high-tech, he decided to give the instrument another try. He has been an avid performer since then as a soloist in many church venues, the Phoenix Rescue Mission, and a plethora of other local events in the Wickenburg area.
Doc, coming from a musical family, has been playing music professionally since he was about 10 years old when his father bought him a $50 guitar from a Buffalo, N.Y., pawn shop.
Their music is the music they like to play, rather than popular modern country although their repertoire is laced with some of that newer genre. They will perform in their 90-minute performance what they call “forgotten country favorites,” such as “Your Cheating Heart,” “On the Road Again,” “Big City, Cowboy Rides Away” and much more.
T.A. Burrows: For more than 40 years, award-winning entertainer T.A. Burrows has used his unique vocal talents to delight audiences with the voices of legendary singers, like Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, and more. Now, you’ll hear T.A. as you’ve never heard him before, singing in his own voice!
In this hour-long tour-de-force, the “man of a thousand voices” performs 20 of his favorite pop, soul, and rock ‘n’ roll songs in his own dynamic style. Between the tunes, T.A. will keep you engaged with hilarious anecdotes reflecting his amazing career as a professional entertainer.
Featuring great music and lots of laughs, “IN CONCERT” provides a delightfully different and totally entertaining perspective of the man behind the voices with songs such as “On Broadway,” “Rock Around the Clock,” “Proud Mary,” “Blue Suede Shoes,” “Johnny B. Goode,” “I Feel Good” and much more!
