Basics of Acting Workshop
4th-8th grade: 9-10:30am
9th-12th grade: 11-12:30am
Your child will join an ensemble for a day of fun and learning. We will begin with a group warmup and then enter into some ensemble-building games. We will explore what it means to be an actor and learn about scoring!
Materials: Water bottle, athletic clothes and shoes.
Instructor bio:
Rachael Fornarotto has her B.A. in Musical Arts and Ministry and MFA in Theatre from the University of Idaho. She has taught JK through college and enjoys working with all age groups. In grad school and the years since, she has taken courses and workshops on theatre topics including dance for musical theatre, singer’s diction, dramaturgy, physical comedy, Stanislavsky technique, and teaching creative movement for children. She also works with Magic Carpet Theatre, a Christian drama ministry based near Detroit. She enjoys encouraging others to trust in their ability to tell stories and use their gifts in the world. She enjoys helping others use the practical tools of theatre in daily life.
