Color Rocks Our World

The world beneath our feet is filled with amazing colors. Sometimes you just have to know where to look! Kids of all ages are invited to discover the beautiful, often surprising colors found in rocks, gems and minerals, learn how they’re formed, and find out where to look when Amy and Terry Hamilton from Emporium 706 rock shop visit the library. Amy is a Certified Diamond Grader and an Accredited Jewelry Professional who attended the Gemological Institute of America. She has worked with lapidary and silversmithing and has been an amateur geologist for 27 years.
