Join us at WCIC for a hands-on cooking workshop designed for teens (ages 14-19)
Pre-Registration is required! No on site registration.
This class is to learn the secrets to cooking a perfect steak! You'll gain confidence and practical skills in choosing the right cut, mastering seasoning and searing techniques, understanding temperature control, and even whipping up a quick side dish. We'll also cover essential kitchen safety and knife handling skills.
We will be using a Halal USDA certified Prime, Select or Choice cut of steak
Please ensure you can bring the following basic kitchen tools with you to the class from this checklist:
β Cast iron skillet (10β12 inch preferred)
πͺ Chefβs knife or sharp kitchen knife
πͺ΅ Cutting board to slice your steak
π΄ Tongs or spatula
π₯£ Small bowl (for seasoning)
π§Ό Clean kitchen towel
π Apron (optional but helpful)
π½οΈ Plate or container to take food home (optional)
