Looking for a FREE fun family activity?
Join the Denver Astronomical Society for our monthly Open House on Saturday, July 19th, at dusk. This event will take place on the south lawn of DU's historic Chamberlin Observatory, located at 2930 E. Warren Avenue, Denver.
Weather permitting, look through the observatory’s 20-inch Alvan Clark-Saegmuller refractor telescope ($2 donation, DAS members and DU students free) and meet fellow amateur stargazers with telescopes on the lawn out front.
If you need to learn how to use your new telescope, come early, bring it with you, and ask our members for assistance as they set up before dark. Don't have your own telescope yet? No problem! Join members of the DAS on the park lawn, just south of the observatory building, to view the night sky's gems through various members' telescopes.
