John Lewis vigil

Our hard fought for civil rights are at risk. The right to due process is being denied to LEGAL immigrants and undocumented people in our country! People are being taken off the streets by masked and unidentified federal agents and shipped off to dangerous countries! Anyone could be taken. Trump says "home grown" are next. On this 5th anniversary of John Lewis's death, let's remember that he put his life on the line at the Edmund Pettus bridge with Dr. Martin Luther King and later served in Congress to protect our civil rights and our voting rights for decades. Honor his memory by showing up to hear speakers from our community and bring friends and family! Make a commitment to resist the Republican attack on Medicaid, Snap food assistance, women's rights, the rights of LGBTQ+ people and rule by a dictator and his billionaire supporters!
