Film & Discussion: Running to Stand Still - Migrants Search for Hope in the Promised Land

Penn Yan Action Coalition is proud to present a free screening of an acclaimed short film highlighting the humanitarian crisis at our southern border. “Running seeks to put a human face on the immigration ‘issue’ by telling heartbreaking and inspiring stories about the migrants themselves—courageous and dignified human beings whose lives stand as a powerful rebuke to a narrative that is fraught with hatred, alarmist rhetoric, and dehumanizing stereotypes.” We will begin with an introduction from volunteers with Called to Care Canandaigua, an organization that seeks to welcome displaced people with open arms, and follow the 20-minute viewing with a Q&A session. All are welcome to join us with open minds and hearts.
