National Tree Day planting - campbells creek

Come plant with us!

National Tree Day is coming up on Sunday 27 July. It's a great opportunity to get your hands dirty and give back to the environment.

To celebrate, Connecting Country is partnering with the @Friends of Campbells Creek Landcare Group and others to bring you a community planting day and nature celebration event on the banks of the Campbells Creek.

The event offers an opportunity for the community to come together, learn about and take action to restore local biodiversity in the face of climate change. As well as planting, there will be lots of family friendly nature engagement activities including ‘mini forest’ creations with Wild Families (part of the Victorian National Parks Association) and nature themed craft activities.

Head on down to the Campbells Creek trail, just upstream of the Princess Street bridge in Campbells Creek on Sunday 27 July 10am to 1:30pm. Wear suitable clothes for cold weather and getting dirty! Gumboots and gloves highly recommended!

A BBQ lunch by Rotary Castlemaine will be provided after the planting.

A big thank-you to the sponsors of this event – The Hub Foundation, Community Bank Maldon and District and Mount Alexander Shire Council.
