Celebration of Life for Larry “Pug” Thomas

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 12th from 1:00 PM at the Methodist Church in the Fellowship Hall for Larry “Pug” Thomas, 80, who peacefully passed in his sleep on July 7, 2025, in Baxter Springs, Kansas. Born on November 3, 1944, Larry was a deeply loved father, husband, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
Larry lead a life driven by his love for family and adventure and a relentless pursuit of learning, innovation, and enterprise. Over the years he found his joy spending time with family and friends, flying, hunting and fishing, cooking, mowing his lawn, driving his Tesla, and looking for his next adventure.
He is preceded in death by his parents Louise Thomas and Doc Thomas, his brother Harold Dean Thomas, and his daughter Beth Thomas. Larry leaves behind a legacy of love in his surviving family: his wife of 53 years Jill Thomas, his son Brett Thomas and wife Nancy, step daughter Staci Heinrichsmeier; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
