Public read-through of 'The Shawshank Redemption'

So everyone has a chance to get to grips with the next show we have coming up, we're opening up our read through for 8th November, so anyone can come and have a read, or even just have a listen to the script and see if it's the thing for you before deciding to audition.
Don't worry! The read-through is not part of the audition; you won't be evaluated or judged based on how you read, or whether you read or not. It's simply there for anyone who wants to come and have a listen to the play.

Andy Dufresne is sent to Shawshank Prison for the murder of his wife and her secret lover.
He is very isolated and lonely at first, but realizes there is something deep inside your body that people can't touch or get to - 'HOPE.'
Andy becomes friends with prison 'fixer' Red, and Andy epitomizes why it is crucial to have dreams. His spirit and determination lead us into a world full of imagination, one filled with courage and desire.
Will Andy ever realize his dreams?
Based on Stephen Kingβs 1982 novella Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, this thrilling stage production examines desperation, injustice, friendship and hope behind the claustrophobic bars of a maximum security facility. The 1994 feature film starred Tim Robbins and Morgan Freeman and was nominated for seven Academy Awards.

This is an amateur production, so no payment is available.
You must be available for both show weeks, which includes 'Get Ins' Tech and Dress rehearsals, evening performances, and the Get Out after the show on Saturday evenings.
