Sunday July 27th at Erie Ks Legion hall we will be having an Enchilada benefit Dinner and a bags tournament in hopes to raise money for Aaron Yarnell’s battle with a rare sarcoma. Aaron is a 26 year old Erie native and Erie Highschool Alumni class of 2017. He is a Cross country 3x state qualifier track 1x state qualifier and also played basketball in high school. You might know him through his ability to work himself to the bone helping others, his passion of Outdoor/Wildlife photography, his time as a legion member, a worker for green environmental services and Peck Cattle or through family or friends. They’re counting on us to help support Aaron and his wife through this battle as they will be doing back to back weekly hospitalizations for Chemotherapy in Kansas City at KU Med center. His loving wife will be his sole caregiver while he receives treatment and they will both be missing pay from work along with mounting medical expenses, travel costs, household bills, care for Aaron’s prized waterfowl dog Ruff, Kersia’s 2 cats, food etc. Each plate comes with 2 enchiladas and rice/beans & your choice of donated deserts from wonderful locals and businesses. Plates are $12 and every plate sold goes directly into the benefit account at Commercial Bank of Erie. The bags tournament is $30 an entry with half of all winnings going to Aaron & Kersia and the other half will be split into 1st 2nd & 3rd place winners. The event will be bring your own coolers/beer etc.
