To find out about Swansea's once vast and thriving copper industry, join us for a free guided walk of Hafod Morfa Copperworks, on Saturday 19th July at 11am. Come along and discover why Swansea became known as Copperopolis.
We meet opposite Landore Park & Ride building, next to the chimney sculpture, SA1 2JT. Guided walks last for about 2 hours, there is no need to book, just turn up, please wear sturdy footwear. Although the ground is uneven in places, the walk is mostly flat, we do more talking than walking!
The nearest place to park is at Landore Park & Ride, it only costs £1 to park there.
If you arrive early, feel free to browse our copper artefacts and photos of the copperworks.
