Operation: Unpost & Uproot
It’s time to rip out the scars and set the land free at the Charles B. Henson Preserve at Johnson’s Crook in Rising Fawn, GA.

We’re removing the silt fence posts—those rusting reminders of development long past. With the excavator handling the heavy pulling, we need ground crew to keep the rhythm going.

What we’re doing:
• You: Hook the posts to the excavator attachment
• Alan (in the cab): Yank them out like invasive metal teeth
• You again: Stack them up so we can haul them off and reclaim the space

Got a strong crew? Good.
If we’ve got the numbers, we’ll pivot to Phase Two: Bradford pear removal.
Bring chainsaws and a bad attitude—we’ll drop as many as we can and mark their stumps for grinding later.

What to bring:
• Gloves, sturdy boots, and work clothes
• Water, snacks, and maybe a little pent-up rage
• Chainsaws if you’ve got ‘em
• Willingness to move fast and get dirty

Let’s unearth the past and make space for something better.
The fences go down—the pears go next—and nature takes back what’s hers.
