We are going to be recording an EP titled “Looking For Answers” and it will be a 3-4 song EP with folk style influences with songs written about life/questions about life. It touches on anxiety and the pressure we feel as people to “always have it together”. I’m so excited to release these songs as we’ve been playing them live for over a year now and having so much fun connecting to people through them!! I hope people connect to the songs and realize they’re not alone. I hope it inspires people to realize that life is short and we can start truly living NOW - we don’t need to wait until we have it all together, we won’t ever have it all together anyways! I hope it encourages people to keep going and to not take life for granted. We’re excited to play at The Stray and are so thankful for this opportunity to partner with them in raising money to make this project possible!!
Artist description:
Megan Stark is a local Grand Rapids singer/songwriter who has started professionally releasing music in 2022. She has been writing songs her whole life and loves connecting to people through music. Since she began releasing music, she has had songs on local radio, played local festivals and venues and is now on a journey to writing and releasing more music. She has made some incredible friends along the way— the band she now brings along with her!! Together they hope to bring hope and light to a broken world. They hope to remind people they’re never alone and to keep looking for brighter things. You can find her music on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube and anywhere else you stream! In addition to our craft beer, coffee and wine selection, our kitchen will be open serving our full dinner menu until 9pm! Get here early to snag your favorite seat and grab a bite to eat before the show begins.
The Stray is a listening room style venue and cafe, where performers are front and center, not background entertainment. We frequently ask attendees to silence their phones and keep conversations low out of respect to performers and other audience members.
This is a pay what you want show, with a minimum price of $15 per ticket. If you want to help Megan raise more for recording costs you can donate through your ticket purchase or in person.
