We are launching a new Croton-on-Hudson chapter of Shut Up & Write -- a global nonprofit initiative committed to creating free and welcoming spaces for writers of all kinds!
This summer, we'll host weekly writing meetups open to anyone. Each week, we'll meet, introduce ourselves, declare our writing goal or intention, and then set a timer for an hour and a quarter of writing. At the end, we'll share anything we wish and give each other feedback on how the writing experience went -- or just “shut up” and return the next week!
Shut Up & Write offers:
📚Dedicated writing time (no distractions!)
📚Supportive community of writers
📚Free and open to all kinds of writing
No registration required! Just drop in. Free & open to all. Intended for adults & teens.
This group meets every Friday from July 11 to Aug. 29.

We don’t critique or share work; we just show up, build community, and write! Come as you are, write what you want, and leave feeling accomplished.
