FREE ENTOMOLOGY WALK!

An opportunity to see some of the insects that make heathland such a special habitat.

The Horsell Common Sand Pit is a hot spot for solitary bees and wasps, including the Bee Wolf and the Green-eyed Flower Bee. The Sand Pit, famous as the landing site of the Martian invasion in H G Wellsโ€™s War of the Worlds, is now home to 1000s of Bee Wolves! The shallow bowl makes it a very special habitat for these and other amazing creatures.
