VJ Day and the Forgotten Army Remembered - Picnic In The Park

August 15th is VJ Day, the day the 2nd World War finally ended. To celebrate this momentous event Nonington is holding a Picnic in the Park, to take place on Sunday August 17th on the cricket field. You are invited to bring along a Picnic and listen to live music from that era.

It will also be a time to remember all those and fought and died in the steamy jungles of Burma. Their stories in many cases being left untold. As well as music there will be an exhibition of artefacts and reminiscences from those who were there and from their families.
