Mt Pleasant residents are gearing up to support their local heroes at the first annual Battle of the Badges blood drive, scheduled for Saturday, August 2. Organized by Titus Regional EMS and Carter BloodCare, this event aims to replenish vital blood supplies while fostering community spirit through friendly competition.
Participants are invited to donate blood and cast their vote for either the police or fire department. The winning team earns not just bragging rights but also the coveted annual trophy.
Titus Regional and Carter BloodCare are counting on your support during the Battle of the Badges blood drive on August 2. To help stock the empty shelves the shortage has left us with.
We need your help! Donate blood and stock our shelves in case someone you know and love needs blood. Receive an awesome BOB T-shirt and every donation earns a vote toward the winning team!
High school blood drives, which normally contribute a significant portion of the region's blood supply, pause during the summer break. This hiatus and rising demand from trauma cases highlight the urgency of events like the Battle of the Badges.
Participants should hydrate well, eat a good meal, and bring a valid photo ID. Appointments are encouraged and can be scheduled through Carter BloodCare's website.
