Mission Doctors Association

Elise Frederick is the Executive Director of Mission Doctors Association, having worked with MDA for more than 42 years. Prior to joining the MDA team, Elise served with her, then young family, for three years in the Northeast of Thailand. Elise may seem an unlikely missionary as a mother of four and grandmother of eight, but she traces this to her mother’s quiet style of evangelization. Dr. Coda will be speaking at all Masses the weekend of August 2 – August 3 on behalf of Mission Doctors Association as part of the Diocese of Forth Worth Missionary Cooperative Plan. Since 1959, Mission Doctors Association has made it possible for Catholic Doctors, Dentists, Physician Assistants, and Nurse Practitioners to share their gifts and live their faith at mission hospitals in Africa, Asia, Latin America, and the Pacific. These medical professionals provide both direct patient care and training for local healthcare professionals, always with the goal of working themselves out of a job.
