This event is for past employees of UW-Eau Claire who have retiree or emeriti status with the university.
If you did not receive an email invitation to this event, please send an email to: ZW1lcml0aSB8IHV3ZWMgISBlZHU= and we can update our records with your contact information.

Need a break from retirement…?
We didn’t think so!
We invite you to come gather with former colleagues of UW-Eau Claire for camaraderie, refreshments and a talk on all things retirement.
Join authors [and married couple] Advising Emerita Patti See and Professor Emeritus Bruce Taylor as they share their thoughts on retirement from the perspectives of a newbie [Patti leaves UWEC’s Advising Retention and Career Center on 7/11] and an expert [Bruce left UWEC’s English department in 2007].
As writers, both give over to what Robert Frost called “the grace of attention”—but in different ways.
Bruce writes poetry often based on what he sees from his perch from their Lake Hallie house. Patti’s monthly column in the Eau Claire Leader Telegram focuses on what she notices in the community. Both writers tell a memorable story.
