"Accepting your own mortality is like eating your vegetables: You may not want to do it, but it's good for you." - Caitlin Doughty
🖤 Mortaliteas at Odditeas - A Death Café
First Thursday of Every Month | 6:30PM | At Odditeas (next to The Crack Fox)
What is a Death Café? We’re so glad you asked.
At a Death Café, people — often strangers — gather to drink tea, eat cake, and have open, honest conversations about death and dying. There’s no agenda, no pressure, and no lecture — just thoughtful, respectful dialogue about one of life’s most universal (and often avoided) topics.
Our purpose is simple:
To increase awareness of death, so we can all make the most of our (finite) lives.
Held in the curious, cozy space of Odditeas, this monthly gathering offers a unique, welcoming environment for all, who often face distinct experiences around death, legacy, and chosen family. Whether you’re processing, exploring, questioning, or just curious, you belong here.
🫖 Refreshing tea, coffee, and sweets available for purchase
✨ Free to attend | Donations accepted
🪦 Not a grief group or therapy session — just open conversation
Come sit, sip, and share in a space where talking about death is anything but morbid. It's meaningful, it’s human — and yes, it pairs surprisingly well with lavender tea and lemon tarts.
