Join Ranger Mike on Sat., July 19, 10 - 11 a.m. at Fort Selden Historic Site in Radium Springs, New Mexico for a talk about rattlesnakes found in the higher Chihuahuan desert.
Did you know that a western diamondback rattlesnake can strike up to two-thirds its body length? Learn more facts about these snakes. The talk will also include guidelines on what to do if you encounter these misunderstood reptiles, as well as what to do in an emergency situation. A craft station will be provided where children and adults can make their own ringed paper snakes.
This program is included as part of general admission of $5 per adult. Free to children 16 years and younger, NM disabled veterans, NM foster families, and MNMF members.
