We’re switching it up for this one! Join the DOPE Fam for a Meet n’ Hike at the breathtaking Cascades Falls in Pembroke, VA — a choose-your-own-adventure style hike where you set the pace, pick your trail, and vibe your way to the falls with good people. 🩵
🥾 What’s a Meet n’ Hike?
It’s simple:
✨ Show up.
✨ Hike your way — creekside trail or fire road, fast or leisurely.
✨ Spend as much or as little time at the falls as you’d like.
✨ Bring a packed lunch or just snacks, chill at the waterfall, take it all in.
✨ Group photo happens at 11:00 AM at the waterfall — don’t miss it!
🎯 Details:
📅 Date: Saturday, July 19th
🕗 Leave Roanoke by 8:00 AM (about 1 hr drive)
🕘 Arrive at trailhead ~9:00 AM, start hiking ~ 9:15am - 9:30am
📸 Group Photo: 11:00 AM at the falls
💰 Cost: FREE! (DOPE Hike Series is waiving our usual fee for this event due to the longer drive & required $3/car parking at the trailhead — please bring cash for parking and consider carpooling to save on cost & parking space!)
🐾 All ages & leashed pets welcome!
🎒 What to bring:
✅ Water, snacks or lunch
✅ Good hiking shoes (trail is rocky and slippery along the creek)
✅ Camera or phone for photos
✅ $3 cash for parking fee
✅ A friend to ride with & carpool vibes
