In 1880, Bristol, RI celebrated the town's bicentennial. Rev. Mark A. DeWolf Howe, Bishop of the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania and descendent of the DeWolfs of Linden Place, composed an epic poem to mark the occasion. This poem chronicles the history of the town and provides fascinating insights into the town's attitudes towards the indigenous population, its involvement with the transatlantic slave trade, and more.
W. DeWolf Fulton is a descendent of the DeWolf family and the coordinator of the Bosworth Lecture Series of the Men's Club.
