C&O Canal and Antietam Loop Hike

Join us for this loop hike, which features the next bit of Chesapeake and Ohio Canal from where we last left off, and a loop through mostly trails and a few back roads at Antietam National Battlefield!
We will visit historic canal locks on the Poto.ac River, climb an observation tower, visit a winery, and walk along Antietam Creek! Distance will be about 15 miles.
We plan to be along creeks and river to cool off for the later portions.
This will be day 1 of 2 days looping Antietam trails and the canal, and those doing both days, we will be staying in Shepherdstown West Virginia at Quality Inn. The second day will be a loop directly from there, posted as a separate event.
