Join us on Friday night at the 18th Annual Hoppin' John Fiddlers' Convention for a concert with Richie & Rosie (7pm) and Cedric Watson (8pm) with opening & intermission tunes from master old-time fiddler Earl White! Plus, catch Lightnin’ Wells and Clyde Mattocks in the Dance Tent for a pre-show at 6pm.
Richie & Rosie combine unique skillsets, varied musical influences and honest storytelling from two very different eras and experiences of life. Playing timeless classics and original tunes, their message is one of the timelessness and universal understanding found in music.
Cedric Watson is a four-time Grammy-nominated fiddler, singer, accordionist & songwriter. He plays everything from forgotten Creole melodies to modern Cajun and Zydeco, throwing in an occasional bluegrass fiddle tune or old string band number.
