Propagation Workshop - seeds and cuttings

Find out how we grow a range of plants for next year’s summer borders on our nursery at RHS Garden Rosemoor. This demonstration will look at selecting and taking cuttings, how to root them and their winter care, so that you have new plants ready for planting after the last frosts next spring.

We will also look at seed sowing of biennials, and other plants that can be grown from seed sown in the late summer. Find out how to care for your seedlings at this time of year and through the winter to give early spring colour in your garden.

By the end of the session, you will have all the skills and top tips needed to enable you to propagate plants from garden cuttings and from seed, to ensure your garden looks fantastic next spring.
