Crossgates Gala open evening

⭐️⭐️ Important Announcement - please read full post as it concerns next years gala⭐️⭐️
We hope everyone enjoyed not only the gala day but the additional events we ran this year on the run up to the big day.
Every year we put a call out asking for people to join the gala committee and we do get a person or two to help which enables the committee to continue.
On Saturday there was only 7 people involved in the set up, running and closing of the Gala. And this just isn't enough people and we struggled to carry out vital tasks during the day
It has been agreed by the committee that this cant occur again. Sadly after all the planning, organisation etc we have carried out over the year we didn't get the opportunity to enjoy the event with our own families.
Therefore it has been agreed that planning/preparations for next year's gala will not take place unless there is a minimum of 12 people who can commit to helping with fundraising events and the gala.
We know this will create alot of disappointment if it does not goes ahead but hope people will appreciate that the committee is made up of people who are volunteering their time whilst trying to meet their own employment and family commitments.
We appreciate that people may feel that they don't have the time to commit to this group but we would like to extend an invite to an open night on Tuesday 29th July 2025 at 7pm at Crossgates Community Centre where we can discuss what is involved in being part of the committee, the fundraising activities and gala.
