Join us on Thursday 31 July for a morning of piskey mischief, bewitched hares and mermaid magic!
Cornish storytellers Mazed will bring alive the stories of Enys Tregarthen, aka Nellie Sloggett, with the help of a very special puppet and their own form of illustrated storytelling, Cornishibai*.
Prepare to be aMazed!
There are three sessions for the storytelling at 10am, 10.45am and 11.30am. These shows are for all ages (though aimed at those over 5 years old), are free and there’s no need to book.
Did you know…marionette making is on the red list of endangered crafts. The unique dual marionette of Nellie Sloggett/Enys Tregarthen was made by John Roberts, one of the country’s last remaining marionette makers.
*Cornishibai derives from Japanese Kamishibai.
