Autumn Equinox Full Day Retreat - A Return to Balance

With myself and Rachel Barnett at a beautiful rural location just outside Belper.

Laurie warmly invites you to join her for time out to de-stress and unwind with a wonderfully relaxing and blissful Full Day retreat of Elemental Qigong, Seasonal Slow Yoga, nature connection and deep rest/time for self reflection in honour of transitioning just beyond the Autumn Equinox point to balance our inner Metal Element associated with this time of year.

We will gather together in community to 'commune' with nature as we are guided towards experiencing the interconnectedness of all things. We will feel into a deeply relaxing and intimate retreat to celebrate the Autumn Equinox and turning of the Wheel as we draw inwards towards the darker yin phase of the year.
Practices though the day will Include:

Opening Circle

🍂 Elemental Qigong to Support the Lungs and Large intestine

🍂 Seasonal Slow Yoga + Deep Relaxation Practice

🍂 Time for reflection community connection and Journalling

🍂 Nourishing Plant based lunch made with locally sourced
produce

🍂 Daoist Tree Meditation

🍂 Walking/standing meditations

🍂 Embodied Nature connection including: Barefoot stream
immersion/earthing practices

🍂 Afternoon Gong Bath as a sound healing journey with an opportunity to immerse yourself in the sacred vibrational medicine that sound offers.

🍂 Gentle emergence into closing circle with tea and home made cake

What to Bring:
Yoga mat, Bolster (if you have one) blankets and comfy pillow.
Water bottle, a journal, binoculars if you have them
Please dress appropriately and pack clothing for every eventuality.
Pack a small hand towel for wiping/drying your feet.

We will have access to toilets and dry storage space
Good levels of mobility and reasonable fitness levels will be necessary for this day retreat, but it will still have a gentle pace.

Expect a gentle and organic flowing day of practices that will be governed by weather conditions.

**Please note**
We will not let the 'elements' stop us unless high winds are forecast. A contingency plan will be offered with an alternative full day retreat taking place inside if needed.

Who is this workshop for?

Anyone who is feeling 'burnt out' with feelings of depletion, exhaustion and low energy levels and may not have much time for themselves. Self care is of the upmost importance when we are low on energy and it is essential that we nourish, support and balance the Metal element we all contain within to support our energies.

About the Teacher:
Laurie is a Qualified Trauma Informed Yoga and 5 Element Qigong Teacher with trainings in Yoga for Mental Health, Applied Poly-vagal Theory for Therapeutic Yoga, Advanced Yin Yoga,
and Yoga Nidra.

She interweaves her knowledge of different traditions and modality trainings to offer a unique form of person centred therapeutic, mindful somatic movement and embodiment practices designed to empower an individual with a range of accessible, sustainable skills and tools needed to embrace the journey back home towards a felt sense of wholeness and a realisation of their own innate power to self heal.
