Course Dates: Oct 7, 14, 21; Nov 4, 11, 18 from 6pm-9pm
This course suitable wherever a good level of wine knowledge is required to underpin job skills and competencies. It is also useful for those who have a general interest in wine and wish to broaden their knowledge. You’ll gain knowledge of the principal and regionally important grape varieties of the world, the regions in which they are grown, and the styles of wine they produce. You will learn to read wine labels from the main wine-producing regions of the world and giving basic guidance on appropriate food and wine pairings as well as service. You will taste 40 different wines from around the world and learn how to describe these wines with confidence.
WSET Level 2 is a beginner to intermediate level course intended for people who have little or no prior wine knowledge. There is no pre-requisite requirement to complete Level 1 before registering for Level 2.
This course is offered over 6 sessions from 6p-9p, and the last class concludes with a 1-hour exam of 50 multiple choice questions.
