Interested in subbing at GISD? Substitute teaching offers a flexible schedule that works well with college students or other part time jobs. Work as little or as much as you want! This training is required for all new and returning substitutes for the 2025-2026 school year.
Gainesville ISD substitute pay is $150 per day for Texas certified teachers and $120 per day for anyone who is not certified.
Please complete an application prior to the training. The online application can be found on the GISD website under Human Resources. Please bring a current driver’s license, social security card and official high school and/or college transcripts to orientation.
