Blessing of the Backpacks

As a new school year begins, we want to cover our students and teachers in prayer and encouragement. On Sunday, August 10, during worship, we invite all students and educators to bring their backpacks, tote bags, or briefcases to receive a special blessing.

This meaningful moment in the service serves as a reminder that God goes with us into every classroom, hallway, and learning experience. Each participant will also receive a small tag for their bag to keep as a symbol of this blessing throughout the year.

Whether you’re a preschooler with a tiny backpack or a high school teacher with a briefcase full of papers—we’d love to lift you up in prayer as you start the school year!
