CARO Amateur Radio Testing

Location: Johnstown - Cambria County Airport (479 Airport Rd, Johnstown, PA 15904) - Conference Room

Time: 6:00 PM (1800 hours) - Doors Open at 5:00 PM (1700 hours)

Levels offered: Technician, General, Extra

What you will need:
- First time testers
- Register for FCC Registration Number (FRN)
- Register in advance here: https://apps.fcc.gov/cores/
- Valid State/Government Issued Photo ID/Driver's License
- Returning testers
- FRN from previous testing sessions
- Copy of existing license information
- Valid State/Government Issued Photo ID/Driver's License

Testing by CARO is provided at no cost. Upon successfully passing your Technician level, your application for your call sign will be submitted to the FCC. After processing, you will receive an e-mail from the FCC to pay for your FCC application fee of $35.00 through their secure website.

Future upgrades to your license (General or Extra) will be free.
