Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz

Ray Harral Nature Center is hosting a #BioBlitz this September in support of the Parks for Pollinators campaign!

What’s a BioBlitz? The Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz is an event where community members work with park staff to create a snapshot of the variety of wildlife that can be found in Broken Arrow. We use an app called iNaturalist to take pictures of plants, insects, and animals to see what wildlife is present in the park during the month of September and provide us with more information about pollinators, which are essential to our ecosystem. This information will help us understand how we can better protect pollinators and other important wildlife in our community.

Sign-up to participate in our BioBlitz now at https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/parks-for-pollinators-2025-broken-arrow

Want to learn how to participate in September's Parks for Pollinators Bioblitz? Unsure how to use iNaturalist? Ready to become a Citizen Scientist and document all the cool species you find? We can show you how!

Join nature center staff in a guided Bioblitz activity around the park to introduce YOU to the wonderful world of citizen science.

To participate:
● Sign up for iNaturalist at www.inaturalist.org
● Download the free app from the app store on your smart phone or bring a camera to take digital pictures and upload them afterward.
