After Sunday
Advertisement
Ty, Leroy and Daniel are receiving treatment in a medium-secure hospital.
Believing in the healing power of food, Naomi invites them to join a Caribbean cooking group.
Ty just wants to work through the motions and get his transfer back to prison.
Leroy’s been there for so long he can’t imagine his life outside.
And Daniel, new to the hospital, will do anything to be “fixed”.
Each Sunday, as the hospital is transformed with the smells, tastes and memories of home, Naomi reckons with whether it’s possible to create a refuge for three men living inside the system.
After Sunday is the absorbing and affecting debut play from Sophia Griffin. This poignant new drama will be directed by Corey Campbell (Romeo and Juliet, Fighting Irish, Big Aunty) in the intimate surrounds of our B2 auditorium, and features live cooking on stage throughout the play.
