Join us at The Fort on Friday, August 15 for "Voices of Valor: A Code Talker's Legacy." In this compelling presentation, Komi Casica will share the powerful story of her father, a brave young man forced to enlist and serve as a code talker during wartime.
Komi Casica, an enrolled member of the Zuni Tribe, is a dedicated advocate for Native education and cultural preservation. After over 20 years in Indian Education, she continues her work through advocacy, public speaking and service on the Native American Resource Group at the Museum of Nature and Science. She was instrumental in the passage of Colorado’s Indian Education House Bill.
