Building upon our great tradition, we celebrate Soul Sessions Oslo’s and MUD Sessions 6th year of collaboration during House Night at Soul Sessions Extended festival. As always, at SSO and MUD we’re committed to highlight top-tier artistry through our bookings, to shake one’s mind, body and soul on the dance floor. Last year Marcia Carr delivered a special DJ-set as she graced House Night with her dope selection of music. We intend to build upon last year's success and elevate that experience at House Night 2025. And this year we’re not HOLDING BACK. All the bells and whistles on this year's booking, as we welcome a quite sought after artist. Celebrated through and through, both for his musical artistry and cultural awareness, it’s our honor and great pleasure to welcome the and only BODDHI SATVA.

Boddhi Satva:
Is a globally acclaimed producer, DJ, label owner, entrepreneur, and cultural ambassador. Originating from the Central African Republic, he has spent over 25 years blending traditional African rhythms with modern electronic music, shaping a powerful cultural dialogue on global dancefloors. Since his debut in 2005, Boddhi has remained a pioneer of Afro-infused electronic sounds, fusing Afro house, deep house, R&B, soul, hip hop, Caribbean, and Latin influences.
As a DJ, he’s graced stadiums—such as the All African Games in Congo (2015)—and iconic clubs including Ministry of Sound (London), Cielo (New York), and the W Hotel (Doha). His global reach spans cities like Lisbon, London, Brussels, Bamako, Dakar, Nairobi, Singapore, and Bali, reshaping the worldwide electronic landscape.
His albums—Invocation (2012), Transition (2016), Manifestation (2022), and In Spite of Everything (2024)—mark artistic milestones. “Manifestation” was DJ Mag’s “Album of the Month,” while “In Spite of Everything” earned praise in GQ and Forbes Afrique. His vast discography includes numerous singles, remixes, and genre-spanning collaborations.
Boddhi has worked with Grammy-winner Oumou Sangaré, Davido, Teedra Moses, Raheem DeVaughn, Bilal, Stonebwoy, and Busy Signal. In the electronic realm, he’s collaborated with Louie Vega, Osunlade, Black Coffee, Bob Sinclar, Culoe De Song, Atjazz, Manoo, DJEFF, Rancido, Full Crate, and DJ Satellite, showcasing his genre-bridging prowess.
Beyond music, Boddhi is the founder of Offering Recordings and co-founder of Batakari, a platform promoting ethical African artistry. He also launched Lisoro Magazine, amplifying African voices and achievements. As a speaker and YouTuber, he shares insights on music, culture, and entrepreneurship—extending his influence far beyond the decks.

Repeating last year’s success, where Markus Benjamin provided that extra touch with his percussion, we invite a well seasoned musician representing the West African diaspora both locally and abroad, to grace the stage during Boddhi Satva’s DJ-set. No-frills, just LIVE and direct percussive magic, we welcome Solo Diarra.

Solo Diarra:
Was born into a respected griot family in Burkina Faso, inheriting a deep musical legacy passed down through generations. From a young age, he mastered traditional West African instruments such as the djembe, ngoni, balafon, and calabash. In 2015, he released his first EP, marking the beginning of a career rooted in both preservation and innovation.
His debut album Yimenga blends ancestral rhythms with contemporary jazz, creating a distinctive afro-fusion sound. Based in Oslo for over a decade, Solo has become a vital presence in the Nordic music scene, performing at major venues and festivals.
Beyond the stage, he is a skilled craftsman who hand-builds traditional instruments, preserving ancient knowledge. Through his music and craftsmanship, Solo bridges generations and cultures, celebrating tradition while exploring new artistic frontiers.

This time around we have a special SURPRISE in store. Zineb Bensouda aka DJ Mélange will be joining Boddhi Satva for a special B2B session during his DJ-set. Shout out and much gratitude to Zineb for helping us out with this year's artist booking, it wouldn’t be possible without her. Celebrated both locally and abroad, we welcome DJ Mélange.

DJ Mélange:
Has had amazing opportunities throughout her musical journey to perform at some of Norway's most renowned festivals, such as Oslo World Festival, Trevarefestivalen and By:Larm. Zineb has also distinguished herself as a vocalist and has been part of Ivan Ave's album projects "All Season Gear" and "Double Goodbyes", especially with the latter winning the Spellemannsprisen in 2021 in the R&B/Soul category. As a background vocalist, Zineb has also had the opportunity to perform with Omvr music at God Morgen Norge, and the Emergenza festival where they reached the finals with Maggie. In 2018, Zineb released the song "Fade Away" together with renowned producer/DJ Boddhi Satva, under the artist name Zee.
As a DJ, Zineb has traveled extensively and experienced different cultures and musical scenes around the world. From South Africa to Addis Ababa, Paris to London, Frankfurt to Copenhagen and even Marrakech. It's amazing to think about all the different cultures, people, and musical influences Zineb has experienced through these travels.

MUD SESSIONS OSLO:
MUD stands for Movement Undefined and started as an open ‘House session’ for movers across different backgrounds. MUD Session concept was born in New York and created by the female House dance crew MAWU back in 2009, and later brought to Norway, Oslo in 2015. Since then, MUD has been a common meeting ground where we share our spirit and love for House music, House dance and club culture. The concept mainly has its roots in house, disco, funk and boogie music genres, and aims to recreate the atmosphere that has existed in various clubs and underground scene in New York since the early 1980s. With us, we always have our resident DJs, DJ Ghar घर and DJ Niwin, who aim to take us on a musical journey. Our monthly sessions have moved through different venues in Oslo: Dansens Hus, Kyrre Texnæs Studio, Sentralen and Melahuset to mention a few.In addition, MUD is currently running through Oslo’s club circuit: Revolver, Blå, Ingensteds, Jaeger Oslo, Oslo Camping and SALT art & music.

Soul Sessions Oslo (SSO) is an organization that works to promote street and club dance culture in Norway. SSO organizes drug-free dance events like jams, free open-practices, battles and workshops. SSO aims to open up these wonderful subcultures to everyone -regardless of experience and age! The goal is to inspire dancers, DJs and other artists within the street and club genres, by providing a platform for exchange, self-training and development. SSO does this by inviting some of the foremost in their craft from Norway and abroad. This year marks the 16th edition of SSO’s yearly event: Soul Sessions Extended. Norway’s biggest street dance festival with battles, workshops, panel talks and parties. This festival marks a great meeting point for dancers from home and abroad.
