Matt Owens is a comedian, comedy show producer, actor, and radio and
film producer based in New Orleans. A prominent fixture in the local comedy scene
since 2010, Matt has shared the stage with standup heavyweights Louis CK, Bill Burr,
Mark Normand, Matt Rife, Rory Scovel, Hannibal Burress, Theo Von, Dom Irrera, Rich Vos, Brian
Posehn, Kyle Kinane and many more. Matt has successfully booked, produced, sold-
out theater shows under the Stand-Up NOLA brand and is currently the co-owner and
show producer for Laugh Life Comedy. His radio and film credits include the Fox
Searchlight film Wendy, The Jay Thomas Show on Sirius XM, and Kevin Hart’s Heart of
the City. Matt’s brand of subtle self-deprecating humor intertwined with long form
storytelling has entertained audiences across America, including The Comedy Store,
Gotham, The Stand, Zanie’s, and Comedy Zone.
