Possum Lodge Cookout, Cancer Benefit For Tammy Slayback.

Tammy has a tough fight ahead of her. She is the Mother of 3 wonderful children, and an ( Angel son) and has been diagnosed with stage 2, triple negative, invasive ductal carcinoma (breast cancer). It has spread to her lymph nodes. She starts Chemo next week for 12 weeks , then will have a double mastectomy as soon as the chemo is completed. She will be be on FMLA for 12 weeks. No pay. Short term disability six weeks at 60% of her pay. With all of this and several trips to Springfield for treatments and surgery she still has her household expenses and everyday bills to keep up with. Due to continued treatments Tammy will have to pay her $8000.00 deductable again at the first of the year.


Possum Lodge will be serving, Rope Sausage,and grilled tenderloins in the parking lot of the Shelbyville VFW from 9am -1 pm. any friends or family free to help wrap sandwiches and to help sell and serve , we can use your help.
