Looking for the perfect Saturday morning escape? Join us for a fun, scenic, and adventure-filled hike through the lush trails of Palmiet Nature Reserve – right in the heart of Durban!
We’ll explore beautiful forests, riverside paths, and rocky outcrops while enjoying great company, epic photos, and a bit of light cardio disguised as fun.
Event Details:
Time: 12.45pm for a 1pm start
Meeting Point: Palmiet Nature Reserve main car park
Distance: Approximately 8–10km round trip
Duration: 3–4 hours
Difficulty:
Regular Hiker: Grade 2
Casual Hiker: Grade 2.5
Cost:
Adults: R179 pp
Kids (U13): R99pp
Includes: Private guiding, reserve donation, awesome pics and videos, and loads of excitement and adventure!
What to Bring:
Water or cold drink
Trail snacks
Backpack
Shoes with good grip (no flat shoes allowed!)
Raincoat (just in case – a little rain never hurt anyone!)
Hiking stick highly recommended – available to purchase from R199 per stick (cash only-please order in advance)
Please Note:
This event goes ahead rain or shine and will only be cancelled under extreme conditions like hail, storms, or heatwaves.
Minimum 10 confirmed bookings required – if not met, a full refund will be issued.
No refunds or credit for no-shows.

Grade 1 – Easy, minimal fitness
Grade 2 – Moderate, not too strenuous
Grade 3 – Moderate, fitness recommended
Grade 4 – Strenuous, good fitness essential
