Project 1612 visiting artist Eric Anthony Berdis invites all ages to participate in an “Upstander Community Workshop” on Saturday, August 9th from 1:00-3:00pm. This is a family-friendly event, but children must be accompanied by a caregiver.

An “Upstander” is a person who speak up in support of individuals or a cause. Berdis work centers play and joy for himself and his audience as an act resilience. Through collective art-making events, this workshop aims to evoke moments of advocacy and shared camaraderie for personal, local and global issues at hand. This event is all-ages, children and families are encouraged to attend and participate together!

Make sure to join us that evening for the opening exhibition reception of “Ripples: The 10th Anniversary Invitational”.

This event and exhibition are sponsored by Big Picture Peoria.
