Coastal Clean Up: Who?
Tide-y up time! Join us for a community-powered Coastal Clean Up on Saturday 19 July 2025, where we band together to bust the muck and trash that’s washed up along our beautiful coastline.
Where?
From Dungeness to Gentle Annie Creek, we’ll be sprucing up Lucinda’s beach, foreshore, mangroves, and riverbanks — because even paradise needs a bit of a polish!
When?
Meet at Borello Park, Lucinda at 7.30am for an 8.00am sharp start.
We'll sea you there — rain or shine!

• Lucinda Progress Association
• Herbert River Catchment and Landcare Group
• Girringun Aboriginal Corporation
• Ingham Rod and Reel Club
… and hopefully, you too!
Why?
Recent flooding left more than just memories — and your community spoke up. Let’s reel in the rubbish and give our coast the care it deserves.
How?
Gloved-up and geared-up volunteers will head out to key clean-up zones, supported by Council staff. All waste will be collected in a central skip at Borello Park and responsibly disposed of at Warrens Hill Landfill and Recovery Resource Centre the following Monday.
