Digital Editing

Capturing images is only half the work, and far too often, we neglect to work on our editing and post-processing skills to the same degree as we work on our skills with the camera. This class aims to give you the skills and knowledge to feel confident in photo editing software to create final images that are ready to be printed and displayed, or shared on social media. We'll be going over how to import images, what a preset is, the function of the basic panels within Lightroom, how to edit lighting, colour, cropping, and levelling, and more advanced techniques like dodging and burning, masking, and most importantly, how to export and save your edited images. I'll send out some test images so we can edit them together. If you have your own images you'd like to ask about, please feel free, as always, there will be time for questions throughout.
